The Spring and Summer movie season is just beginning in Columbia, and many of the most-anticipated films of the year will be in theaters soon! Unfriended is a cybernatural horror film set to come out on April 17th, 2015. Unfriended is about a girl named Laura Barns who had received ridicule over a video of her passing out at a party. A year later, she committed suicide over the video. Six classmates had decided to get together over Skype and are surprised to see a seventh person log into Laura’s old skype account. He or she knows quite a bit about Laura’s death. This unknown person starts threatening them, saying that if they log out, someone will die. He or she also torments the friends’ house and attacks them. As the chat progresses, it starts to test their friendships with each other. An early trailer for Unfriended shocked many with its technology-based scares. Find out what happened to Laura and her friends in theatres this Friday.
Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2
In this sequel, Paul Blart is back, but this time he is taking a well-deserved vacation from protecting the malls. He is going to Vegas with his teenage daughter before she goes off to college. Even with Paul Blart takes a vacation, safety never takes a break, and when duty calls, Paul answers. While in Vegas, he stumbles upon a heist and must single-handedly apprehend the crooks. The original Mall Cop was well-liked by audiences across America, so this movie should definitely be making a splash at the box office.
Insidious: Chapter 3
In this chapter of Insidious, gifted psychic Elise Rainier reluctantly agrees to use her ability to contact the dead in order to help a teenage girl who is being targeted by a dangerous supernatural entity. Insidious: Chapter 3 is the prequel to the haunting of the Lambert family in previous chapters of Insidious. If you like horror and supernatural entities, then this is the movie for you to watch. It comes to theaters on June 5th, 2015. Remember: don’t mess with the supernatural.
