     As we get more into the year we approach the time when XXL releases this year’s freshman. This list has become a major part of the music industry and has become a lot of young artists (new) goal. With previous freshman such as. Shy Glizzy, 21 Savage, Future, Chance the rapper, Lil’ Uzi Vert, Kodak Black, A boogie, Lil’ Durk, Kevin Gates, Rich Homie Quan, G Herbo and many others. This will be my prediction for the 2018 list and who I feel  deserves it based on popularity and some personal opinion.

     I don’t think they will actually put all the people I’ve listed on it this year but this is who I think is most likely to be put on. Some of them I find debatable myself like… Bhad Bhabie but a lot of people like her and her music for whatever reason and she has a lot of clout so they could very well choose her. And there very well may be some other rappers that could just be a must have on this list, but I don’t know them some so there not gonna be on my list at least. Especially during this generation of rap, a lot of people tend to hate on the music genre, some will say that these individuals don’t deserve to be on this list; but these are some of the hottest young rappers and they worked hard to get where they at so they very much deserve to be put on this list and any other achievement they get despite how you may feel about their music and life choices.
