This school year has brought many new changes to policies and structures. This list contains everything you need to know for the upcoming school year, for students and parents alike.
Family File and FARMs
Family files need to be updated at the beginning of every school year through synergy.
Step by step instructions on how to update Family File
You can also see if you qualify for Free and Reduced Meals (FARMs) using the paper forms given out to students. FARMs not only applies to meals, but also to things such as college application fees and AP exam fees.
Meal services provided by the school are no longer free. Students must pay for breakfast and lunch. Breakfast is now $2.00 and lunch costs $3.30, with snacks also available for a separate fee. Families should apply for Free and Reduced Meals, those who qualify will be entitled to numerous benefits.
Students are not permitted to leave campus to purchase lunch and may be subject to a search when they return. Students are also not permitted to order food to be delivered during the school day (Doordash, Uber Eats, Grubhub, etc.) Any deliveries will be turned away.
All tickets for athletic contests MUST be purchased online at gofan.com, NO CASH will be accepted at the gates. All tickets for students and adults are $5. Senior citizens and children under 7 are free. QR codes will be posted at the stadium ticket booth if you need to purchase tickets at the gate – a smart phone is required.
Use the link below to purchase tickets.
The new rules for the stadium are as follows:
- No bikes, backpacks, outside food or drink is allowed in the stadium. Concessions will be sold in the stadium- depending on volunteers to staff it.
- No re-entry is allowed. Once you leave the stadium, you will need to purchase a new ticket to re-enter.
- Middle School Students MUST be accompanied by an adult to enter.
Any student who is tardy to class will only be admitted to class with a school issued tardy pass. Students must enter class within 5 minutes of the time written on the pass. Any student who arrives to class outside of that 5 minutes will be referred to administration. After the first lateness to Period 1, a warning is issued, after 2, a warning and parent phone call, and after 3 the student will be subject to morning detention.
Fall Information Fest
Students can learn about SAT/ACT prep, college admissions, career exploration, financial aid, ARL career academies and more.
Sophomore information is in student services, Junior information in the media center, Senior information in the cafeteria.
Club Interest Meetings
Club Interest meetings are starting September 15th, so be sure to talk to club sponsors about sign up information if you cannot attend, or if they overlap. Make sure that you check the club’s social media for updates on club interest meetings and times. Club meetings will be starting on September 21st.
Locker Requests and Parking Permits
Students who will be driving to school must complete a parking pass request form and bring payment to the front office. The payment of $15 can be made in the form of a check made out to “Hammond HS” or in cash, both to be turned into the front office.
Your parking permit will be ready to pick up the following day in the office. You will not be called down. Parking permits will be required for every car starting 9/6/2022. Student parking passes will only provide parking in the student lot, not the staff lot closest to the school.
All students who would like a locker must complete the locker request form. Students will begin receiving locker assignments on September 7th in BearTime. All students are able to request lockers at any point in the year, given availability. YOU are responsible for your locker & everything in it. Do not share lockers or combinations.
We will have a distribution party for those who ordered a copy of the 2022 yearbook at the end of September. This is where students will be able to pick up their yearbooks. There will be an email soon with the information about this.
